A major focus of the school/community team training w as the development of a drug prevention “action plan.”
With the help of a trained facilitator, each team learned a process for developing, implementing and
evaluating a community-wide plan for combat youth alcohol and other drug use.
Grant funding from the Virginia Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Education has enabled the AOD Center to provide drug prevention training to 118 school community teams from throughout Virginia.
