REQUEST FOR
PROPOSALS The County of Rappahannock is requesting proposals for the following services: 1. ) To provide all labor and materials to re-paint the trim and exposed painted masonry surfaces (to include the area outlined in SPEC #2, below, as necessary) on the Courthouse building on Gay Street in Washington. Said services to include preparation of the surface (including scraping old paint, where necessary), repaint and trimming with high-grade exterior paint. 2. ) To provide all labor and materials to remove the masonry exterior to the columns located in the front of the Courthouse, to seal the then-exposed brick and to . re-cover with Exterior insulation System (EIS), (generally to include EPS board, groundcoat, mesch, and tine sand coat finish) fastened in accordance with manufacturer's recommendation in addition to stainless steel fasteners. Samples of proposed system to be included in proposal.
Bids may be submitted for one or more of the above separate and distinct projects and bids shall be submitted accordingly, indentifying which, if not both of the projects are being bid. Sealed bids stating a fixed price as well as extent of services proposed should be submitted to the County Administrator's Office, Old Extension Office Building, by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 11, at which time they will be opened and publicly read. The standards for competitive sealed bidding as set forth in the Code of Virginia, 1950 (as amended), §11-37 shall apply. To be acceptable, a bid must state a fixed price, must contain the name, address, and telephone number of the bidder, and must be signed by same. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
