The Commonwealth's Attorney prosecutes all criminal offenses which occur m the County. I have served in this capacity for eight years, I would appreciate your vote to allow me to serve you four more years. In limited space, these are my positions on some key issues: J
* Every person is entitled to equal treatment under the law. * Substance abuse, whether drugs or alcohol, does not excuse criminal conduct. * Victims of crime should receive restitution for their injuries from the offender. * The Commonwealth has a special duty to safeguard children and the elderly. * Rehabilitation of criminal offenders must be viewed from the perspective of what will best protect the public. Further, the rehabilitative effect of tearing the clang" of the door to a jail cell should not be underestimated.
* bargaining is appropriate when it serves the best interests of the Commonwealth. * The Commonwealth has as much interest in seeing the innocent go free as in convicting the guilty. * Animals have the right to humane treatment * Every criminal defendant has the right to a fair trial, so does the Commonwealth.
You have the right to expect from your Commonwealth's Attorney honesty, hard work, competence, and fair mindedness. I will continue to try to give you these things.
