Ed Robb has been on the front lines fighting criminals, and men like him and Kevin Miller would help clean up the Senate.

As for the endorsement of Kay Slaughter over George Allen, your paper has done nothing as far as a background check on these two candidates. In an Oct. 6 issue of the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Ms. Slaughter was interviewed and told the paper of her “search Tor spirituality.” She has switched religious organizations seven times in about 20 years going from Episcopal to Catholic, to Baptist, to Methodist, to I Unitarian, to channeling and back to Episcopalian.

The thing that really bothers me is the channeling. Ms. Slaughter was ! director of Seven Oaks near Madison, 1978-1981. She described ' Seven Oaks as “a place where people come to give up phony roles.” Members study the teaching of Eva Pierrakos, an Austrian-born woman who settled in New York. Mrs. Pierrakos died in 1979 and is reported to have given messages through “channeling, a process where a force or supernatural being speaks thru a person.” These things could almost be overlooked as they happened 10 years ago and since that time Ms. Slaughter has graduated from law
