Mr. Keyser was a self-proclaimed FDR-Drmocrat who worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps, the CCC. “I was lucky, I reckon to get the job,” he said with characteristic modesty. “Somebody got the idea that I knew something about dynamite, so I got the job blasting rocks around the state. In the CCC Camp, that bought me a pretty good salary,” Mr. Keyser said.
