Man Kills Fox
After Attack
Raymond Freeman killed a rabid fox last Wednesday after it attacked him.
Mr. Freeman, 56, who lives off Route 614 in Gid Brown Hollow, said , the fox was at the corner of his house when he came down the stairs. He was wearing bedroom shoes and when the fox rushed at him he kicked it. He lost one of his shoes in the process and almost fell. The fox bit him on the leg and bit his arm also.
“I grabbed him and killed him,” Mr. Freeman said. He was unarmed and killed the fox with his bare hands. “They were the only things I had. I didn’t have any choice,” he said.
