Mr. Sherwood, also a Rappahannock County resident, received a MFA in film production from the University of Southern California. He has worked as a cameraman and editor creating film shorts and commercials. Joining them will be special guests, Matt Dibble, an independent video producer from Washington, D.C., who teaches at the Corcoran School and Washington Project for the Arts; Rob Farr, Executive Producer of Arlington County Cable TV, and Julie Portman, artistic director of Ki Theatre.
Ms. Wyrrick said the fascinating part of video work is learning tricks to “create illusions” on the camera. “It’s easy to create environments, locations and dramatic situations, and it doesn’t take a big budget;” she said. “The fun challenge is coming up with ways you can do that.”
The workshop runs from July 25 to 30 and costs $100. Some scholarship help is available. For further information call 675-1616.
