Following lunch, advances in new technology for the classroom and in the laboratory will be presented.
Dr. Kenny Webb will lead off with a presentation on the use of multimedia technology and instruction for students enrolled in Animal and Poultry Sciences courses.
Dr. Eric Wong will show how molecular genetics is being used to make advances in livestock production.
Dr. Dave Notter will present new information on ways to use expected progeny differences across breeds rather than just within breeds for beef cattle selection.
Lastly, Dr. Bill Beal will demonstrate that use of ultrasounds technology to monitor the reproductive status of beef cattle and to determine the sex of calves before they’rebom.
