Me said, we are not nere to argue that the fountain is ugly. We need to carefully follow procedures set out in the ordinance.
Mr. Reynolds noted that the issue of the proper applicant had never been raised before. He said, “We must assume that our Zoning Administrator believed that she was a proper applicant and accepted the, application. Mr. McCarthy felt that he did not have the authority to exempt this fountain; he felt the decision needed to be made by the ARB.”
Peter Kramer said that the whole issue made him sick to. his stomach, and that he doubted that it was the intention of the Town Council that a user of the post office would have a right to appeal. “That just does not make any sense to me,” he said.
Mike Mahoney said, “The vestry of the church is the organization which conducts a team interest of the church. You will note that Trinity Episcopal Church is very likely going to expand its facilities in the future. If we do that, we will have to work with you (the Town Council). Our first objective is to work with you all as good neighbors. This is a nuisance and trivial appeal which costa us a lot of time and money. I want you to think about that.”
Newbill Miller said that he did not think that people should be chastised before the Town Council. “Debate is what brought this country together.” he said.
