“The Seldom Scene” will perform in Washington free to the public at 5 p.m. on July 4 on Carrigan’s Lawn in the Town of Washington.
“The Seldom Scene” got together with the avowed purpose of playing for fun. Yet, with this band’s tremendous aggregation of talent, it’s hardly surprising that what started as their “weekly card game” soon became a sustaining career. Now, over 20 years later, TTie “Seldom Scene” is widely acclaimed as “America’s greatest bluegrass band” (Cash Box).
