Sheriff John Henry Woodward said it is unusual to be accused of bet ing too vigorous in enforcing speed limits. He said he is usually accused of not giving enough time to enforcing lowered speed limits in towns, but he would have to station a deputy in each town full time to satisfy these demands, and he does not have enough deputies to do that.
The Rappahannock News received a letter to the editor about this issue, but because it was in the form of a reply to the anonymous notice sender the letter would not have made sense by itself.
