Members of the Washington Baptist Youth Group took part in several presentations about the “True Love Waits” program and over ten youth signed cards and made a five-person promise (to God, their current date, their future mate, their future child, and themselves) to wait until marriage.
On July 29 these commitment cards will be on display on the mall in Washington, D.C. It is hoped that over 500,000 will be sent in by that date. The youth group plans to take part in that display presentation and Christian concert that evening. Contemporary Christian artists Petra and DeGarmo and Key, among others, will take part in that concert.
Washington Baptist Youth Group generally meets at Washington Baptist Church on Thursday evenings. It has become an interdenominational youth group which welcomes youth from the community.
