Helen Rooker

Helen Hogan Rooker, 52, of Washington died on Tuesday, June 7 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.

She was a native of Prince William County.

She was a domestic worker.

Survivors include two daughters, Mae Robinson of Rixeyville and Lori Rooker of Flint Hill; two sons, Ernest Rooker Jr. of Washington and Joseph Rooker of Florida; six grandchildren; two brothers, Francis Hogan of Falls Church and Bobby Hogan of Manassas; one sister, Evelyn Hogan of Manassas; one son-inlaw, James W. Robinson of Rixeyville and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Promise Land Baptist Church in Washington on Saturday, June 11 with the Rev. John R. Pendleton of Flint Hill officiating.

Interment was in the family section of the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Washington.

W.C. Thompson Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
