the right side of the hillock and we meandered down the other $ide. Nothing! I suggested, since I'd already been over the area* that we go back around the brink of the hill to where we'd come up. Maybe it was on the other side of that road.
Always in front, not by arrogance, but to save the others needless and unnecessary walking, I was rounding the hill, having all the while the view of the river to my right. About mid way, trying to get my bearings on the house site, I noticed what appeared to be bridal wreath. Upon closer examination there was indeed a sunken place. A gravq? Calling out to the ladies and waiting for their arrival, we together examined the area thereabouts. We found remains of fence post and wire and determined the size of the cemetery to be about thirty feet by thirty feet. We counted four graves; three adults and one child, each grave having a set of fieldstone markers (one at the head and one at the foot).
