Rappahannock County has been progressive and forward looking in elections. Rappahannock County gave Sue Scheer, the Democratic candidate, a majority in the last election for the General Assembly, recognizing the importance of issues like protecting our God-given natural beauty and the right of individuals to control their own lives, not be subject to the rigid views of some.
For those reasons and others Rappahannock County, voters should support Mark Warner for United States Senator. The economic future of this Commonwealth lies not in protecting an obsolete defense industry while increasing the federal deficit. It lies in educating Virginia's children to flourish in the coming information age in new, developing technology industries, so Virginia and its sons and daughters can compete and win
