The all-new full-size Express/Van was introduced last summer, but has been a rare sight in these parts. It's larger than previous full-size vans, with the Express being the passenger model and the Van for cargo.
Chevy's sport utility lines are having a changes. The mid-size Blazer can be ordered with the Z2 off-road package previously available on S-10 pickups (3-door only).
Don’t be surprised if the local constable shows up driving a full-sized Tahoe sport utility. Chevy is pushing these handy vehicles as a replacement for the extinct Caprice, and offering police packages.
The Suburban is entering the year with only minor changes, as is the C/K line of full-size pickups. Refinements include softer-shifting automatic transmissions and a disable switch for the passenger-side airbag.

The Geo Prizm, which is built in California, gets power steering as standard equipment this year, as well as new color and trim choices.
The 3-cylinder Metro will probably take the honor as the top mileage car again in '97. The 4-cylinder engine, first available last year, is now standard in the LSi model.
The popularity of the 4-wheel drive Tracker mini-sport utility vehicle continues to climb, especially since the introduction of the 4-door model last year.
