from rampant unemployment, Roaring inflation, and a runaway crime fate, and that it's a crime for anyone With a foreign-sounding name to contribute to the Democrats.
The truth is that unemployment, inflation, the crime rate, and the federal deficit have all decreased markedly pince Clinton took office. I Here are the facts. I dare Bob Dole or any Republican to refute them.
' • Unemployment is at a 7-year low I— 5.4 percent. I • Inflation is at the lowest rate in 00 years, 2.9 percent < • The federal deficit has decreased $109 billion,since Clinton took office. * • The nation's crime rate for violent crime — murder, rape, robbery, land aggravated assault — is at a 10year low. (It’s true the rate of marijuana offenses is up. But frankly fd rather nave people quietly smoking pot than committing murder, rape or robbery.)
The truth is that the country is in better shape than it has been in decades. Keep it that way by voting Democratic in November. Re-elect Bill Clinton and put Mark Warner in the Senate and Bob Weinburg in Congress.

You made a valid point last week .when you commended John Warner /or keeping submarine building in Newport News. However, this singular event in John Warner's 18-year unremarkable Senatorial tenure as a cold war specialist is not enough to warrant re-election to the U.S. Senate.
Sure, John Warner has made some •positive contributions, but he also -voted against the minimum wage increase; against family and medical leave, against supports to protect the environment, wet lands and safe -drinking water, and against a federal tax on the richest members of our ^society. These are the issues of the 21st century. „ .John Warner will not leave the Senate unrewarded or unthanked. But . if voters grateful to him for Newport News shipbuilding jobs and revulsion at the thought of Ollie North as Senator thank him .with another six years, all Virginians can also took for.,ward to ultra conservative votes.
