Class Hosts Guest Speaker
On Thursday, Nov. 7 from 6:30-8 p.m. the RCES library, a very special guests speaker, Ms. Andrea Mutterer, will share her current information about the State of Virginia's newly adopted S.O.L.'s (Standards of Learning) with the Rappahannock Parents' School Class. The Parents School Class meets for 10 weeks every Thursday evening and is led by Mrs. Pam Rossak, and Mrs. Amy Saxton, both teachers at RCES.
Ms. Mutterer is the Director of Mountain View Uniserv of the Virginia Education Association. All Rappahannock parents are cordially invited to attend. For further information please call the Elementary School at 9878259.
Family Fun Presentation Set
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew Trinity Episcopal Church invites you to be ^ part of a special family fun presentation at The Theater in Washington on Sunday, Nov. 3 starting at 3 p.m.
Mr. Vic, a gospel magician and ventriloquist, will be presenting "Magic with a Message." It’s a fast paced magic presentation that includes comedy, ventriloquism, fun music, sculpture balloons and audience participation that is sure to generate good family fun and laughter.The program will last about one hour and admission is $3.
Support Group To Hold Meeting
The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will meet and have a social hour from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 in the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church. For information, directions, transportation or support please call Pat Salmon at 675-3137.
RLEP Annual Meeting
The annual RLEP meeting will be held 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 at the Sperryville fire hall and is free to the public. The meeting is an opportunity to become directly involved with the planning of our county's future. We will implement techniques taught by international traffic planner Ian Lockwood on how to design the "Village Concept" of our choice for Flint Hill, Amissville, Woodville and Sperryville. Please come and share in this enjoyable and vital process for the future.
