Midwifery Day to be celebrated
A celebration in honor of Virginia Midwifery Day will be held on Tuesday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock Park. Drinks and plates will be provided, the event will be a potluck. For more information call Martha Hughes at 636-8315.

Medicine man offers teachings
This is a rare opportunity to listen to Anton Ponce de Leon talk to our community about Andean cosmology and Incan Sacred teachings. Born and raised in the town of Urubamba near Machu Pichu, Anton has dedicated his life to service and the dissemination of his culture’s legacy. A $20 donation is requested to help support the center where he and his wife raise the 28 children they adopted from the streets of Lima, Peru. The lecture runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville on Friday, May 8. For more information call 987-7204.
Storytelling at Ki Theatre
“No Ordinary Person,” an evening of autobiographical storytelling, will be presented on Saturday, May 2 at 8 p.m. at Ki Theatre. RAAC and Ki Theatre collaborate to bring you the amusing, bruising and heartwarming stories from the lives of your friends and neighbors: Jane Coon, Richard Abell, Anne Morgan Gray, Sallie Morgan and Joyce Abell.
