Photo courtesy of Hazel Zinn-Day Twenty 4-H’ers represented Rappahannock County at the Northern Virginia District competition in Culpeper on April 25. Jessica Erhart, Christina Howard, Rachel Gall, Lauren Kaye, Lauren Powell and Kaitlin Moore performed a combination act called the Spicettes and won second place. Sisters, Becky and Robin Oyster, also won second place for a dance routine. Tommy Pendleton, Justin Burger, Allison Antony and Devin Day won second place for “Horrible Hillbilies” comedy/square dance. Allison Antony won first in the instrumental category; Rebecca Tupper and Robin Oyster won first in vocal category. Pictured are the five senior competitors that will be representing Rappahannock at the state competition at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg this June. They are Jami and Wendy Gillis for a piano duet, Ruth Ann Oyster in the vocal category, and Robyn Kaye and Emily Sims for a dance routine. We are very proud of all these talented 4-H’ers who participated at the district level.
