ECWplan flower mart trip
The Episcopal Church Women are planning a bus trip to the Flower Mart, an annual event at the Washington National Cathedral on Friday, May 1. The round trip fare is $15 and the bus will leave Trinity Episcopal Church parking lot in Washington at 8 a.m. and leave the Cathedral at 2:30 p.m. for the return trip home. Everyone is invited. Din ner, ball planned
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of George Washington Carver Regional High, the George Washington Carver Alumni Association will hold its dinner/ball fund raiser from 6 p.m. to 1 a m. on Saturday, May 23 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Crystal City. Ragged Mountain activities
Activities for Ragged Mountain Resource Center include Saturday, May 9: Second Saturday Series of Hikes to Rappahannock River Tributary Headwaters in Shenandoah National Park, meet at Mountainside Market on U.S. 211 west of Sperryville between 8:30 and 9 a.m., return mid-afternoon.
Friday, May 22: “Blue Ridge to the Bay” speaker series at Rappahannock Library, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., local Arborist and Forester Lyt Wood will discuss “Clear Cutting, Selective Cutting, No Cutting - Landowner Options”.
