On the recent “budget” published
by Headwaters — they are to be commended for their excellent publication of the school budget.
The $351,567, plus fringe benefits, to supervise 980 students is not acceptable.
The School Board should completely revise our entire operational system before another dollar is added to this monstrosity of a budget or close our schools and just send every student to a private school as this is what it is costing the tax payers now. The private school fee.
I believe in public schools, as my four daughters all went to public schools, then on to college.
Tb have this burden to our county for 980 students is uncalled for, and poor management.
When our county was being managed by one superintendent for several counties, our students were doing equally as well as under the present system.
When the government got involved and dictated to the states and the state dictated to the counties, making it mandatory for each county to have a superintendent, they did not itemize their duties.
