CD contains several songs that they play at Skyland and at the monthly pickin’ party in Culpeper.
In addition to that, Butler has four of his original songs included on the recording.
For backup vocals and musicians, they enlisted the talents of friends from Culpeper and Madison Counties. Back up vocals were performed by The Hazel River Trio; which consists of Jean Bailey, Faye Blair, and Liz Shifflet.
The musicians were: Wayne Ashbrook, mandolin; Doug Cooke, drums; Paul Fincham, banjo and rhythm guitar; Ronnie Guinn, steel guitar; and Hank Utz, bass guitar.
The recording was done in March at Blue Ridge Recording Studio in Luray. CD’s and tapes will be available for purchase at Hackley’s Store in Amissville and Culpeper Music Store in Culpeper.
The release party will be held at the Salem fire hall, located on U S. 522 starting at 7 p.m. Several other performers will be there as well. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the music and celebrate the release of “Cabin Fever”.
