Happy birthday wishes to Ashton Kesner who will be 12 years old on Thursday, Feb. 18. Another teenager in the making. Hope your day is special, Ashton!
Out sympathy is extended to the family of Elmer Cooke who passed away last week. Mr. Cooke and his family have lived in the Amissville area for many years where he attended the Amissville Baptist Church with his wife, Hazel. A graveside service was held on Monday, Feb. 15 at the Amissville Baptist Church Cemetery.
In case you missed the marque in front of the Amissville Fire Department, no open fires are permitted before 4p.m. effective immediately.
Special thanks to the youth group and their leaders for the Valentine’s Day Banquet held at Amissville Baptist Church. The food was delicious and the Dating Game was a lot of fun. Newlyweds Darryl and Julie Klopp won, outsmarting all those “old married couples” who thought they knew one another.
The “Love Excursion” hosted by Jeffersonton Baptist Church at the Jeffersonton Community Center was also a huge success. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship led by Donna Meade with help from the lovely hostesses and the charming tour guide, I think everyone learned a little more than they needed to know about each other and enjoyed every minute of it!
Please make sure you sign up for the directory pictures for Amissville Baptist Church which will be taken on Friday,
