Junior Corbin

Junior Ellis Corbin, 61, of Chester, Va. died Feb. 9 at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
He was born June 16, 1937 in Amissville to the late Raymond Ellis arid Sadie Mae Settle Corbin.
Mr. Corbin is survived by his wife of 42 years, Frances Louise Finks Corbin of Chester; one son, Anthony Ellis Corbin and his wife Vanessa, both of Charlotte, N.C. and two daughters, Dietra Anne Hanshaw and her husband Matthew and Janet Leigh Corbin, all of Chester and three grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Feb. 12 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Milton J. Switzer Sr. officiating.
Found and Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Elmer Cooke

Elmer James Cooke, 84, of Amissville died Thursday, Feb. 11 at his residence.
He was born Dec. 19, 1914 in Rappahannock County to the late Clarence Clifford and Bertha Corbin Cooke.
Mr. Cooke was a member of Amissville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Hazel Ardelle Putnam Cooke; one son, James Randolph Cooke of Amissville and two daughters, Peggy C. Menefee of Bealeton and Doris Jenkins of Rixeyville.
Additional survivors include one brother, Harry Cooke of Viewtown; a sister, Virginia Bihl of Lancaster,
