Area race ians interested in joining the club can pick up an application at Old Dominion or Potomac Speedways once the 1999 racing season gets under way. Or, to join or get information about the club, fans can call Hardisty at (301) 937-7037.
“We’ve got a lot of new members coming in and a lot of support from (promoters) Dick Gore at Old Dominion Speedway and Pete Cameron at Potomac Speedway,” Hardisty said.
“Without all of the support we wouldn’t have a club.”
But there’s no lack of support for the organization. Dave Menefee, who handles public relations for Old Dominion, said, “It’s a good organization to be a part of. It supports the drivers and the crews, the wives, and Potomac and Old Dominion Speedways and other tracks. It’s a good place to hang out with other people and discuss racing.”
