Farm-to-Table
Headwaters’ Farm-to-Table program has soma distinguished new collaborators in thefrnrm of the Lapham family, new owners of Sunnyside Farm in Washington.
Program Coordinator Trista Scheuerlein will meet periodically with the Laphams as they craft a new vision for the form and its partnership with F2T.
“We are very excited to be involved with F2T” says Gardiner Lapham. “We see the program as a critical component to supporting sustainable agriculture in the county."
The Laphams, through their family foundation, will join the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau and the Young Farmland Fund in providing major financial support for F2T.
The program works through the public schools to preserve forming techniques ami traditions, reinforce the ethic of conservation, and introduce landfriendly career options to local youth.
