The Theatre at Wash- ■ ington, Virginia has released its schedule for the upcoming season which runs from September through December 2007. The wide variety of performances includes a play by William Shakespeare and several concerts by fine professional musicians playing chamber music, acoustic jazz guitar, Celtic music, and a piano recital.
The season opens on September 29 with “The Winter’s Tale”. Each year, some of Cambridge University’s best theatrical talent crosses the Atlantic to perform a Shakespeare play at selected venues on the east coast. This will be their fourth annual performance at the Theatre.
The following week, on October 6, the Theatre presents an all-Chopin piano recital, at which two pianists, Michael Tsalka from Israel and Katarzyna Marzec from Poland, will each play solo works written by arguably the Romantic era’s greatest composer for the piano.
