Oct. 2: Sheriff’s forum
The Rappahannock News will sponsor a sheriff’s forum on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Rappahannock County High School. The three candidates running for sheriff are Connie Compton Smith, J.C. Welch and Chris Williams. As the November election nears, this will be a wonderful opportunity to hear from and learn more about your next sheriff. Washington resident John Fox Sullivan will serve as moderator. Oct. 6: Picking Party
Hackley’s store will be having their Picking Party on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. All bluegrass and country bands are welcome. There will be a 50/50 raffle.
