The Rappahannock County Running Commission will consider a new use for one of the county’s best-known historic properties on Wednesday, Sept. 19.
Roger and Sophie Scruton are applying for permission to use Montpelier as a venue for weddings, receptions, conferences and meetings. The 18thcentury mansion is located on 173 acres at the intersection of , F.T Valley Road and Hawlin Road (Route 618), about fivp miles south of Sperryville. £
