The Rappahannock County Sheriff's Office charged Masters with breaking ana entering and grand larceny on July 18, 2006. Masters then fled the county but was picked up by police in Nashville, Term., on Nov. 6,2006, under an assumed name, and later transported to Rappahannock County, Lt. Connie Smith said.
Smith said the sheriff’s office has not charged anyone else with involvement in the school break-in.
Following Masters’ guilty plea, Judge Jeffrey Parker asked him if he had any questions for the court.
“Can I get a chance to say goodbye to my wife?” Masters replied.
He and his wife spent a few minutes behind a closed door, supervised by the court bailiff, and walked out with tears in their eyes.
