Sept. 15: Final trip

to the Bolen Cemetery

The second and final trip to the Bolen Cemetery will be on Saturday, Sept. 15. Meet at 10:30 a.m. at the end of Rt. 614 at parking area. Bring drink and dish to share for picnic. Plan on doing some cleanup. Contact Wayne Baldwin at 540-543-2590 with questions.

Sept. 15: Third Annual

Hume Day Festival

For the third year in a row Leeds Ruritan Park will be the home for Hume Day. Join the Village of Hume on Saturday September 15 for a day of crafters, artisans, food, and entertainment. Bring the family and enjoy a free event under the shadow of Big Cobbler and Rattlesnake Mountains. Many unique opportunities await you at the park. Alpaca and lamb farmers, sheep farmers, a dairying school, and free range turkey orders are being taken. A Viking Historian will be on hand to impress you with his costume and VDOT is there to answer questions about the area roads. Bring a picnic lunch or feast on barbecue donated by Marriott Ranch and kick back to the sounds of Shenandoah Travelers at 11:30 or Joan and Dave at 1:30.
