Sept. 25: Volunteer drivers training

Need a ride to the doctor? Due to the need of many in Rappahannock County for transportation to medical appointments, a group of local churches and community organizations have developed a program known as RappMedRides. On Tuesday, Sept. 25, the American Cancer Society will hold a training from 1 to 3 at the library for volunteer drivers. This is so Rappahannock drivers can transport people to cancer treatment under the ACS Road to Recovery program. This can also be a refresher course for those already driving. New volunteers are encouraged to come. To RSVP please call either Lola Walker at 825-3100, ext. 3358, Judy Reidinger-987-9600 or Sharon Pyne at Social Services at 675-3313.
