Following Hogan’s touchdown reception, things went downhill for Rappahannock County.
Josh Unger took control for the visiting Hancock squad from there.
With 42 seconds remaining in the first half, Unger darted off the left side and in for the go-ahead score. Hancock went for the two-point conversion and Matt McCoy caught a deflected pass from John Clark to make it 14-7.
Behind Unger’s powerrushing and a stingy defense, Hancock controlled the second half clock and escaped Rappahannock County with a victory. The win ended Hancock’s 14-game losing streak.
