The children’s trout fishing carnival again will be held on the Rose River in Madison County when Virginia’s trout season opens at noon on Saturday, April 7. A three-quarter-mile stretch of the Rose along Route 670 between Criglersville and Syria is set aside exclusively for. boys and girls 12 and under this »one day only.. it is well * stocked with' legal-size trout by the Commission of Game and Fish and after this firstday program the river is open to all.
