For the second year, runners may compete as teams in the 10-Mile race. There will be men’s and women’s team divisions for .runners competing for schools, running clubs, corporate teams and civic groups. There is no team entry fee, but runners must also enter the race as individuals, paying a $5.00 fee.
Runners may register in advance by mail or at the hospital community relations office. They may also register from 7-8:30 a.m. the day of the races at Loudoun County High School or at the pre-race clinic, planned at 6 p.m., May 11, at the Xerox International Training Center east of Leesburg.
Dr. Scott D. Banks, a Winchester chiropractor and runner, will speak at the clinic, conducting videotape analyses of different running Btyles. The Reston Triathlon Association will conduct a Triathlon Forum and Dr. Ayne Furman, a podiatrist, lecturer and marathon runner, will speak on “Running Injuries: Prevention and Treatment.”
