years ago, has gone on to train two Border Collies for both farm work and trials and has written a highly publicized novel, “Nop’s Trials,” which will be published in April, about Border Collies, trials and dognapping. McCaig and his dogs were featured in a Washington Post article in the March 26 edition.

Don Araer, editor and publisher of the top obedience training magazine, OffLead, will bring one of his German Shepherd Dogs from Westmoreland, N.Y. for the clinic to demonstrate how a Schutzhund trained German Shepherd will work on sheep. Other handlers will be bringing dogs from Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, North Carolina and Massachusetts, as well as Virginia.

The clinic will run from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. each day, rain or shine. Spectators should bring their own food and chairs. For information, call Mrs. Conrad at 703 837-1064 or Mrs. Terry at 703 3384254, on clinic days before 8:00 a.m.
