Colonel Daniel Marvin has been named to head operations at the new Great Meadow Equestrian and Field Events Center at The Plains.
A special assistant to Great Meadow founder Arthur W. Arundel, he will manage the scheduling of steeplechase races, horse trials and other community non-profit educational and recreational field activities at the spectacular new site now being completed. The first event, The Great Meadow Races, is scheduled for October 20 with the Virginia Gold Cup moving to its new home there in May 1985.
