Once again the youthful actors lost concentration each time a miniature firework flared in the auditorium. Once again, the enjoyment of the many was destroyed by the manners of the few.
Photographers tell us these pictures won’t turn out anyway. Why not arrange a special time during the dress rehearsals to allow friends and family a “photo opportunity session”?
Directors in Rappahannock might also follow the tradition of many others in community and educational theaters throughout the country. A printed announcement may be needed at the bottom of each program saying, “Please refrain from using flash photographic equipment during the show.”
