The Woman’s Society of Christian Service of the United Methodist Church met on Monday, March 19 at the home of Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr. with fourteen members present. Mrs. Barbara Gentry led the program on the annual Day of Prayer Service.
The Flint Hill Home Extension Club met at the Corner Post Restaurant on Tuesday, March 20 with Misses Margaret and Elsie Dodson as hostess. Florence Vickers, Home Extension Agent, presented the program on “Legal Matters” with fifteen present.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Welch and children, Ryan and Courtney of Mt. Airy, Md. 8pent Sunday with their mother, Mrs. Roland Welch at “Mountain View.”
Mr. and Mrs. A. 0. Smoot visited with Humpy Smoot at the Life Care Center at New Market on Tuesday.
Paul Loius Miller, Jr. of Odenton, Md. spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Paul Miller.
M*. and -Mri. Carrot Pearson of Hume were Friday evening visitors of Mrs. Wade Pullen.
Haywood Pullen returned homd on Friday after being a patient at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
Visiting with Mrs. Robert Nethere on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nethers, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis, Charles Corder, Jr., Karen Corder, Heather Aylor and Mrs. Ranny Aylor. Miss Debbie Dennis visited Mrs. Nethers on Monday.
