Meade Student Teaching Scholarship to encourage language arts instruction in the state’s schools.
The annual $500 award will go to a rising senior in a Virginia college or university who plans to do student teaching in English. Applications are available from each college’s School of Education, English department or scholarship office. The deadline for submitting the completed forms is April 1.
The scholarship was named for the late Dr. Richard A. Meade.
