Physician Services
With four full-time emergency physicians providing 24-hour services, Culpeper Memorial Hospital has one of Virginia’s finest small hospital emergency departments.
Confident of the high quality services, private physicians in the five county area recommend the CMH emergency department to their patients for emergency situations.
With the latest in lifesaving equipment and training, the CMH emergency department stands ready to help you in time of emergency. The emergency physicians are complemented by a hospital medical staff consisting of members of most major specialities and by 24-hour laboratory and x-ray services. CMH is able to transfer multitrauma victims quickly to trauma centers by ambulance or MedStar helicopter.
Trained in advanced cardiac life support, the emergency physicians demonstrate their community responsibility by volunteering their time to train rescue squad members in ACLS.
To improve your comfort and departmental efficiency, the emergency department received a facelift in 1983. Thanks to a donation from the Auxiliary Lights of Love project, the emergency department registration area was modernized, and new computer equipment was installed. A new emergency and outpatient waiting room was created for the comfort of our patients and their families.
1963 was a busy year for the CMH emergency department. With a 5% increase in visits over last year, the emergency department continues to provide lifesaving care for you and your loved ones in your time of need.
