Gingerbread houses, fresh Christinas trees and European pastry delights. These and other unusual, hard-to-find, and just plain delicious Christinas gilt and food items await Christinas shoppers who come to the Small Farmers’ Market this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
This will be the last chance this year for area residents to visit the unusual store, located in the Ice House on Main Street, in Washington, which will reopen next May. There will be an abundance of specialty baked goods, including pannetone (Italian Christmas bread), stollen (German braided sweet bread), gingerbread, jam cakes, cookies, and the fins french, whole wheat, egg, and rye breads that have been offered all season by the market.
