cember 3 meeting of the Board of Supervisors had some misplaced paragraphs. Those paragraphs, unscrambled, are reprinted here:
• Amend motor vehicle ordinance. The Board will advertise for two weeks then hold a public hearing on amending the motor vehicle licensing ordinance. The Board must bring the county’s fee schedule into compliance with state law.
This will result in a reduction in fees paid in some areas. Fees scheduled to be advertised for public hearing are: Farm vehicles, $15; motorcycles, $15; two-wheel trailers, $6.50; other trailers, $15; Antique vehicles, $5 (one time per owner); drilling machineiy, specialised mobile equipment, $16.
o Multi-family dwelling*. The Board tabled until its January meeting a complaint in'regard to multifamily dwellings. The complaint, received before the Board’s November meeting lists “five or six” residences that are single-family reportedly being used as multi-family homes.
“That person is legally entitled to an opinion, some action on her complaint,” Commonwealth’s Attorney Luke told the Board. Luke added the Board should “face up to the fact (that) we have these all over the county right now.”
Complicating matters are several things: The question of multifamily dwellings currently has litigation pending between Patricia Saltonstall of Flint Hill and the Board of Zoning Appeals; the request comes at a time when the county is revising its. zoning ordinance (or would have to revise the 73 Zoning Ordinance to reflect any decision); enforcement probably will be difficult.
• Church request. The supervisors agreed unanimously to pay Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church $100 for use of the church on election day. The Board confirmed that the mim amount is paid to county fire companies for use of their facilities.
In addition, the county will pay ML Lebanon and fire companies hosting meetings on the proposed zoning ordinance $25 each for use of their facilities. Fire companies include Flint Hill, Amiaaville and SpenyviUe.
