In executive session, the Board appointed Janet Jones to the substitute teacher list, and approved the appointment of Brenda Starr as a driver for the pre-school handicapped program. The Board also appointed Joan Hall as a substitute driver.
The Board denied an employee’s request for a one year leave of absence, and appointed William Steven Cameron as science teacher at the high school. A non-resident’s request for admission to the schools was approved by the Board in executive session.
Robert Estabrook was re-appointed by acclamation to a four year term as Superintendent of Schools beginning on July 1. By a consensus, the Board asked Estabrook to review the insurance portfolio and re-enter the insurance market to attempt to gain a more competitive price for auto insurance. The Board adjourned at 11:06 p.m.
