Teachers at the schools encourage the entire community to participate in Reading Month hy stressing the importance and pleasure of reading. Some suggestions for the development of enthusiastic readers at home is for parents to be a role model by reading frequently, have appropriate reading materials available, read with children and have family members take turns reading aloud.
