The point, however, is not the personal hazards and losses. The point is that the CCRC is utterly wrong in contending that the dump should remain in its present location, and that that location is more consistent with the character and environment of the county *H»n the location CCRC objects to. In fact, I suspect most would agree that the present location is a good deal less defensible in terms of the criteria CCRC poses than the proposed location is.
Consistency requires the CCRC to stop advocating that the county’s dump continue to despoil the area in which it is presently located if CCRC expects its campaign to look like anything other than a cynical effort, garbed in highsurrounding phrases, to push the dump just somewhere else, anywhere else.
