Culpeper Choral Christmas Concerts
On Fnday, December 14 at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, December 16. at 8 p m, the thirty voice Culpeper-Piedmont Choral Society will pruet lit its 18th annual Christmas Concert at the Precious Blood Church at 401 North Main Street in Culpeper. To accomodate its increasing audience, Music Director Lois Shanks has chosen to offer two identical performances of mostly sacred music of the 13th through the 20th centuries. With soloists, organist, instrumentalists and a guest children's choruk, the works of some eighteen composers will be sung wrfmHig several familiar carols.
The concert is free and open to the public. The choral society aim announces the winner of its recent logo contest is Steven J. Harlow of Roanoke. The design will appear on the concert program cover. Poinsettias On Sale
December 13 and 14
The 4-H Livestock Club will be selling poinsettias again this year on Thursday and Friday, December 13 and 14 at the Rappahannock Elementary School, Wakefield and the Rappahannock Extension Office. The cost will be $4 for small plants; $6.60 for large plants and $80 for hanging baskets (must place orders for these at the Extension Office).
