selection commission
Circuit Court Judge W. Shore Robertson last week appointed men to fill two newly-created seats on the Fauquier County School Board Selection Commission.
Willie H. Washington, a teacher at George C. Marshall High School in Fairfax County, and Donald R. Yowell, senior vice president and cashier at Marshall National Bank, were selected from 23 candidates to represent Lee and Marshall districts.
The Fauquier Board of Supervisors in February added two seats to the commission so all five of the county’s magisterial districts would be represented. Appointed by the Circuit Court, the commission meets only when school board members retire or their terms expire.
