At the 4/29/85 supervisors’ meeting on the 1985-86 school budget, Mr. Lane inferred a correlation between high SAT scores and low teacher pay in the state of New Hampshire. Mr. Lane’s presentation on New Hampshire teachers’ salaries was incomplete.
I taught in New Hampshire from 1976-1980. Mr. Lane should be advised that the burden of the New Hampshire pay scale was partly eased by their outstanding provision for fringe benefits. These benefits included graduate school tuition, complete medical cover
